One Piece Whitebeard War Arc
Hi, here is my first AMV, I tried to focus on Whitebeard and Ace. Edit this video was important to me especially on the Marineford Arc.
I'm surprised Whitebeard War isn't everyone's favourite saga
For me, this saga is where One Piece went from another fighting manga to full on amazing. Don't get me wrong I really liked it before it, but the story telling really took off for me. Kenny g wedding song chords.

Rather than another enemy that was just above the crew's strength that they could eventually beat we are shown the strongest in the world, and how incomparable Luffy is. We are introduced to so many amazing devil's fruits all at once and crazy battles you'd only dream of all play out in such a short period. Luffy/Mihawk Iva/Kuma Crocodile/Whitebeard etc. Vampire knight ds rom.
This was also the first time where characters actually died in Luffy's time. I was always disappointed that no matter what attack characters had taken in the past they'd manage to somehow live. Particularly Pell in the Alabasta arc, his sacrifice was so diminished when he somehow survived, and after that moment I was convinced no character would ever die.
The end of the saga was all the more shocking for me because of that. I was 100% convinced Ace would live so when he didn't it was the most shell-shocked I'd ever been.
A lot of people seem to love the Enies Lobby arc, but as far as the anime goes I found that to be the slowest, most drawn out and cliched arc. Every crew member had an enemy that was tough for them but surprise surprise they beat them eventually. I disliked it so much it actually made me give up One Piece for two years. Whitebeard War made it so I'll never give up on the series, no matter what happens.
tl;dr Whitebeard War is the best storytelling of the series, why do people prefer Enies Lobby over it?
